SingHealth Transplant Services at SGH Campus

Transplants are a gift of life – given freely by an individual, and received anonymously by another. Transplants treat, and sometimes even cure, disabling and life-ending diseases, such as kidney, liver and heart failure, blood and immune disorders, as well as permanent blindness.

SGH Campus is home to nine different transplant programmes, covering the body’s major organs (including the largest organ, the skin), stem cells and corneas.

As a transplant patient at SingHealth, you’re cared for by a tailored, multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, who will help you on your journey – from preparation, through to the transplant surgery, recovery and post-transplant care. The first patient to benefit from a transplant on SGH Campus underwent a vision-restoring corneal transplant in 1962. Since then, more than 5,000 transplants have been done on the Campus, giving new life and new hope to many patients and their families.
