CEO shared his fondest memories of SGH and exhorted staff to surpass their past achievements and maintain SGH as the flagship hospital in Singapore and beyond.
We unveiled a special Bowyer Block mural made of Lego bricks and our leaders were invited to put on the finishing touches.
Prof Woo Keng Thye, Emeritus Consultant from the Department of Renal Medicine, regaled the audience with anecdotes of his various teachers including Prof Gordon Ransome.
Our minifigs – and minifig cut-outs – were definitely the stars of the day. Nearly $14,000 was raised for the Needy Patients Fund from the sale of these limited edition minifigs.
We even had our very own 195 minifig cupcakes, which was served to staff by our leaders.
Assistant Research Coordinator Chang Hui Ping, 195 days old in SGH as of 18 May, spoke of friendship and camaraderie in the Colorectal Surgery Department when she shared her SGH memory.
