A1. How Do Our Patients Rate Their Experience?

In an independent Patient Satisfaction Survey commissioned by the Ministry of Health in 2009, SGH ranked favourably among the various regional and tertiary public hospitals in Singapore. Approximately 78% of our patients expressed overall satisfaction and 84% would recommend the services of SGH to others based on their perceptions on the following nine quality service attributes: facilities, care coordination, knowledge and skills of doctors, the care and concern shown by doctors, knowledge and skills of nurses, care and concern shown by nurses, knowledge and skills of allied health professionals, care and concern shown by allied health professionals, and clear explanations given by staff on procedures and care.
