Epilepsy Support Group

I may have epilepsy, but epilepsy does not have ME

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition that causes sudden, uncontrollable electrical surges in the brain. These brief interruptions in the brain activities causes periods of altered awareness, known as seizures whose nature and intensity vary from person to person. Epilepsy can impact one's lives in many ways. People with epilepsy often have the anticipated concern of when the next seizure may occur, the potential injury they may sustain & the stigma they may face. Support groups bring people with similar issues together to share on their experiences, learn from one another, and supporting one another in the journey. The sessions aim to provide support and empower participants to live beyond the challenges of having epilepsy.

The support group collaborates and works closely the Singapore Epilepsy Foundation. For more information on various support group activities: please log onto: http://www.epilepsy.com.sg
