Imaging




The imaging core facility of Department of Clinical Translational Research is located at the 9th floor of Discovery Tower, The Academia. Priority usage is given to SGH researchers. The facility offers confocal and conventional fluorescence microscopes, as well as image analysis resources for image capturing of fixed or live cells or tissues, unlabeled or fluorescently labeled samples. Training is mandatory before using the microscopes. Persons are trained and then evaluated before working independently.

Nikon A1R Confocal Live Cell Imaging System



Nikon A1R confocal live cell imaging system is equipped with Nikon Ti-E inverted microscope, 4 lasers (405nm, 488nm, 543nm, 638nm), 4 PMT, environmental control, intensilight mercury-fiber illuminator, high sensitivity CCD camera, lenses for phase contrast, DIC and lens with violet correction.
